Crisis Propagation in a Heterogeneous Self-Reflexive DSGE Model

چکیده
We study a self-reflexive DSGE model with heterogeneous households, aimed at characterising the impact of economic recessions on different strata society. Our framework allows to analyse combined effect income inequalities and confidence feedback mediated by social networks. By varying parameters model, we find crisis typologies: loss may propagate mostly within high or low rather sharp crossover between two. that crises are more severe for segregated networks (where is essentially agents same class), which cascading contagion effects stronger. For reason, larger tend reduce, in our probability global crises. Finally, able reproduce perhaps counter-intuitive empirical finding: countries higher Gini coefficients, consumption lowest households tends drop less than highest incomes times.

Agricultural Economic Dynamics in a Bayesian DSGE Model for Iran
I ran’s economy is suffering from sharp and persistent economic shocks and agriculture plays an undeniable role in its economic growth and development. The aim of this paper is to study the relative contributions of various macroeconomic shocks to generating fluctuations in Iran’s agriculture sector. To do so, a Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) model, emphasizing on the ...
متن کاملSelf-Organized Criticality of Belief Propagation in Large Heterogeneous Teams
Large, heterogeneous teams will often be faced with situations where there is a large volume of incoming, conflicting data about some important fact. Not every team member will have access to the same data and team members will be influenced most by the teammates with whom they communicate directly. In this paper, we use an abstract model to investigate the dynamics and emergent behaviors of a ...
متن کاملLove Wave Propagation in a Fiber-reinforced Layer with Corrugated Boundaries Overlying Heterogeneous Half-space
Love-type wave generation in a fiber-reinforced medium placed over an inhomogeneous orthotropic half-space is analysed. The upper and lower boundary surfaces of the fiber reinforced medium are periodically corrugated. Inhomogeneity of half-space is caused by variable density and variable shear modules. Displacement components for layer and half-space are derived by applying separable variable t...
متن کاملModel Validation and DSGE Modeling
The primary objective of this paper is to revisit DSGE models with a view to appraise their statistical adequacy and propose ways to ameliorate their empirical pertinence. This paper brings out several weaknesses of the traditional DSGE modeling, including statistical misspecification, non-identification of deep parameters, substantive inadequacy, weak forecasting performance and potentially mi...
متن کاملA dynamic lattice model for heterogeneous materials
In this paper, the mechanical behavior of three-phase inhomogeneous materials is modeled using the meso-scale model with lattice beams for static and dynamic analyses. The Timoshenko beam theory is applied instead of the classical Euler-Bernoulli beam theory and the mechanical properties of lattice beam connection are derived based on the continuum medium using the non-local continuum theory. T...
